A medical team from Arizona, composed of five members and headed by Dr. Michael Teodori, have performed fourteen successful open heart surgeries for children. Another team having eight members from Montana (USA), have performed eleven open heart surgeries for adults.

The Cardiac Centre is equiped with state-of-the-art equipment.
Sustainability

Insuring sustainability is the key to success. A fund generating program is planned and these office and apartment complexes, we believe, will go a long way in insuring the sustainability of the center.

  • A medical team from Montana, US fourth largest state, have performed eleven open heart surgeries for adults.
  • A team headed by Michael Teodori from Arizona completed fourteen successful open heart surgeries from April 29 - May 9, 2009.
  • The Cardiac Centre has performed more than 56 successful surgeries so far.
  • The Cardiac Center was officially inaugurated on Thursday, February 12 2009.
  • The ceremony was attended by PM Meles, Prof Sir Magdi Yacoub, Dr. Sheikh Mohammed Hussen Ali Alamoudi, Dr. Tewodros Adhanom and Supporters of the center.
  • Cornerstone was laid for the research institute by PM Meles Zenawi on the inauguration day.
